Confessionals (Episode 2)

HEY Y'ALL!

I know I'm terrible at keeping up to date at this confessional thing so I'm going to hammer some home tonight just so that I can feel like I'm not a worthless piece of shit in this game. (For the record, I totally am though  )

Anyways, so after we won the last challenge nothing much happened. We carried about our lives until Vytas' exit was announced. To be honest, I wasn't really surprised by Vytas leaving at all. Vytas wasn't even a part of the original cast and had to fill Malcolm's vacant slot when Malcolm showed up a day too late (:sadtorch). Therefore, he was kind of a no-brainer for first boot. In the early stages of this game, the reasons to actually vote someone out are all circumstantial and almost entirely bullshit. Everyone just wants to stick around long enough to not be gone so soon. So by announcing Vytas as the alternate to fill Malcolm's slot, he was made an easy target. It definitely sucks for him, but that's the game I guess. I never even met him so I don't even know why I have a full paragraph discussing this.

Immediately after the first Tribal Council, we received a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT from the hosts. Naturally, because the Warriors hosts LOVE toying with it's players, I knew we were in for a Twistos-Brand Twist. And I WAS RIGHT <3 Anyways, the twist is that both tribes had to go to Tribal Council and cast their votes immediately. That was... a shell shock to say the least. I just was really not prepared for that at all. Usually we have the time during the challenge to talk strategy and contingency plans for an immunity loss, but we didn't get that at all. It was a big hot mess. Messier than my latest music video to be honest:

Where were we? Oh yes, the twist. For the voting, I barely talked to anybody. Abi talked to me and Alina talked to me and THAT'S IT! I'm just sitting here a little bit annoyed that nobody else wants to talk to me. Do I stink or something? Am I not ~THE~ Baylor Wilson? Either these people are getting really lazy, or these people are already in alliances and are feeling pretty complacent. Considering it's an All Star season, I tend to think it's the latter. It just sucks to think that AGAIN I'm on the outs of my tribe from the very start of the game. To be honest, I'm really doubtful that I can survive it like I did last time. So basically what Abi and Alina told me is that everyone agrees that Marcus has been completely silent and he's not long for the game. So I just voted against Marcus to go with the herd at this point. There's nothing I can do to sway these people that I hardly know anyways.

The good news about this vote is that it will only ever come to fruition if we lose the upcoming challenge. If we lose, the votes will be revealed and it's likely that Marcus will leave. If we win, the votes are scrapped and all 12 of us march on. AND WE ALL FLOAT ON ALRIGHT! But for reals that would be the best case scenario for me. Because of the fact that I feel on the outs and Marcus knows he's gone if he loses, we've kind of bonded over our perceived loner statuses. Now I really want to win this challenge just to keep him safe. It's like he's a little baby duckling and I just want to make sure he follows me across the street safely. I couldn't bear it if the poor little guy got run over by a car. (Wow that was a dark-sided analogy)

Unfortunately, winning the challenge is easier said than done because it's a creativity challenge. Both tribes have been tasked with writing a short story about mob bosses. I really do love the Sicily theme going on in this game. Fun fact: I am HALF-ITALIAN so I am in love with this stuff. It's just a very beautiful culture and I am glad that ALL STARS is giving it some dues. I do believe I was a mafioso in a former life. I hope that comes into play here.

But for reals, I'm not a big fan of this challenge simply because I don't have a creative bone in my body. I'm verbally witty and fun, but for some reason in the written medium all of my humor and wit is drained and I'm very much a shell of myself. I can't really write well, and I'm terrible at using computers so I'm no use with the formatting whatsoever. So far, the only thing I've been really helpful with is pushing our tribe to come up with a concrete story outline. Everyone just keeps writing character biographies and that's great and all, but at SOME POINT we have to have an actual story. There has to be a plot and character development and all of the things a good story should have. And instead... these guys just keep writing more character bios. I'm going to try my hardest to pull this shit show into a functioning short story, but right now it's looking more like a pile of random tiles instead of a pieced-together mosaic.

Oh I also forgot to talked about the Locked Door, but I also don't want to talk about it? It's kind of this weird dichotomy where I DESPERATELY want to open the door and see what's inside, but I'm also so terrified of finding out that I don't want to know. Does that even make sense? Probably not. Do I ever make sense? That... is up for debate I'm sure. Anyways, we now have a way to open up the door. We were given 10 images of 10 mob movies that are for the most part excellent classics (RESERVOIR DOGS <3 GODFATHER II <3 GOODFELLAS <3). Naturally, I figured them all out pretty quickly because I'm gifted. The problem is that the order for these ten movies is completely randomized. So that's... impossible to sort out. This is a task of Herculean efforts, and I am no Hercules. So I'll just sit here randomly stabbing away at it hoping to access the room. I guess we'll see what happens, but I would bet a lot of money that I won't be the person to get in LMAO.

OMG WE WON! And I even wrote a section of the piece myself! =O I'm really really happy for us, but more than that I'm really happy for Marcus. He didn't deserve to be voted out based on first impressions so I'm happy that he's getting a chance to redeem himself. Will he? I dunno probably not. Do I hope he will? Absolutely.

Anyways, this isn't going to be a long confessional because I won't have to do any worrying/strategizing/campaigning because my entire tribe will live to see another episode. HAPPY DAY BAYLOR IS ~NOT~ THE SECOND BOOT. Onward and upwards for me to be honest.
